Masaaki Sato served as a department head in Microsoft’s Public Sector division and as the head of its healthcare business in Japan. He subsequently served as a department head in Strategic Business Planning at Bayer Japan, overseeing the pharmaceutical digital marketing department and developing and implementing digital transformation strategies. He began his career at Mitsubishi Electric, where he worked on large-scale government projects, including air traffic control systems. He joined Fast Track Initiative in January 2015 and oversees HealthTech investments.
His past roles include serving as a researcher at the Innovation Center of NanoMedicine, Kawasaki Institute of Industrial Promotion. He graduated from the School of Commerce at Meiji University and completed the professional graduate program at its Graduate School of Global Business, earning an MBA.
