After completing graduate school at the University of Tokyo, Tai Harada joined McKinsey & Company, where he worked on numerous strategy projects. As a Junior Manager, he led new business development and strategy projects for healthcare companies, including pharmaceutical companies.

He subsequently studied at the University of Chicago in the United States. He also worked as an Investment Consultant at ARCH Venture Partners, which has backed numerous unicorn companies in the life sciences sector, evaluating investments in drug discovery technologies. As an Investment Associate at Chicago Innovation Fund, an acceleration fund, he invested in university startups. At Takeda Pharmaceutical’s Boston office, he worked as a business development intern and consultant on business development activities in oncology and regenerative medicine. He joined Fast Track Initiative in 2019.

Tai holds a master’s degree in Chemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Engineering and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
