Tomoyo Mori

After obtaining her medical license, Tomoyo Mori undertook clinical training and practiced medicine in medically underserved areas. She subsequently joined the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Tokyo Women’s Medical University Hospital, treating patients with heart failure or myocardial infarction, as well as heart transplant patients. At the university hospital, she also worked on clinical trials for medical device startups. Alongside her clinical practice, she contributed to the domestic and international business expansion of medical device startups. She participated in multiple US-based MedTech accelerators and has experience leading teams. She joined FTI as an intern in May 2023 and became a Venture Capitalist in June 2024.

Tomoyo is a part-time supporter of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s Medical Venture Total Support Program. She is a board-certified internal medicine specialist accredited by the Japanese Medical Specialty Board and a certified occupational health physician accredited by the Japan Medical Association (JMA).

She completed her studies at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business in the United States in 2024 and holds an MBA.
