BrightPath Biotherapeutics, formerly Green Peptide, was established to commercialize research conducted at Kurume University School of Medicine. It researches and develops personalized peptide vaccines for various cancers and hepatitis C. It has completed Phase I/II clinical trials in Japan for malignant brain tumors and prostate cancer. In May 2010, peptide-vaccine treatment for prostate cancer was approved as advanced medical care at Kurume University.
